Carolyn Taft passed away September 25th after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Carolyn was Born in Oklahoma and raised in west Texas. She was the middle child of 3 children. She met her future husband while working at El Paso Electric Company. They were married in February of 1949. Their marriage was blessed with 3 children, Lynda, Larry, and Brent.
Mom worked many jobs over the years but was most of all a loving mother and wife. Mom enjoyed sewing, traveling and growing her flowers. She was a member of the Gate City Baptist Church.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Allan Taft, her parents, her older brother, a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Taft, and 2 granddaughters.
She is survived by her younger brother, John, all 3 children, a daughter-in-law, Cindy, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
We would like to express our thanks to the caretakers of Rosetta Assisted Living and Encompass Hospice for the outstanding care given to our mom.
A graveside service will be held Monday the 28th of September at 11:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
