Carol Virginia Yost

Carol Virginia Chausow-Yost (Sheldon), Born August 12th, 1941 in Woodland, Washington to Amos and Naomi Sheldon (Fleager) peacefully passed away on January 15th, 2022 at the age of 80 in Pocatello, Idaho.

Carol was raised in LaCenter, Washington where she graduated high school as Valedictorian of her class. She was a lifelong seeker of knowledge and adventure and she loved music of any genre as well as playing many instruments in her life. She cherished her friends and family above all else and was always generous with her time and support.

She raised her five children in Bend, Oregon with her husband of 37 years, Darrell Chausow, before living in both Idaho and Florida. She and Darrell spent several years working at DisneyWorld and both considered it a wonderful experience. Darrell preceded her in death.

She was able to spend her last years with her amazing new husband, Denis Yost, who filled her life with adventures of travel and staying very active.

Carol is preceded in death by both parents and her brothers Elmer and Thomas. She is survived by her husband, Denis Yost of Pocatello, Idaho and her brother Wallace, of Leander, Texas. She is also survived by her five children; daughter Valerie of New York, sons Douglas of Boise, Idaho, Eric of Port Orchard, Washington and daughters Patricia of Portland, Oregon and Catherine of Boise, Idaho. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren in Idaho, Utah, Washington, Colorado and California and by her best friend since the age of six, Irene Howard, of Coupeville, Washington.

She also leaves behind many dear and cherished friends.
