Carol Kinghorn

Carol Joan Kinghorn, 81, returned to our Father in Heaven on May 3, 2015. She was born November 14, 1933, in Salmon, Idaho. She was the daughter of John W. Hill and Lorna Kinser Hill. She Married Robert Clyde Kinghorn on September 17, 1956 and together they had three children. Carol earned her cosmetology license from ISU. She worked as a cosmetologist and beauty shop owner for many years. Her greatest source of pride and joy in life was her family. She loved service and especially serving and teaching her family. She lived a very full and active life. She was passionate about country music, dancing, and bowling. She was a talented quilter, gardener and seamstress. She did not do anything without committing to perfection. Occasionally, you could find her in a casino sitting at a slot machine. She also loved basketball and football. It was not unusual to hear her cheering for her Utah Jazz and her Denver Broncos, sometimes at the same time. Survivors include, Bonnie (Mike) Peck, Nancy Kinghorn, and Daniel (Gayla) Kinghorn; siblings, Loraine Collinsworth, Laverne Lee, Tamara Charlow, Michael Charlow and Denise Keller; grandchildren, Joslyn (Jake) Martindale, Amanda Dennis, Bryce (Erin) Peck, Hailey Peck, Jordan Peck, Mallory (Josh) Summers, Nichollette Kinghorn, Houston Kinghorn, James (Jennifer) Amyx, Lyndee Amyx; greatgrandchildren, Landon Summers and Elijah Dennis. She is preceded in Death by her Husband, Robert Kinghorn, parents, 1 sister and 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 11 am at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83201. 208-233-1500, with a viewing for one hour prior to services. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 6-8 pm also at Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83204.
