Carol Jacqueline Gibbs

Carol Jacqueline Gibbs (Nee Cayen), 79, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2018 surrounded by family. Carol was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 13, 1939 To Leo Fredrick Cayen & Susan Benedict.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the gospel and served faithfully in many leadership callings. She shared her kindness, compassion and love of people. She had an infectious smile and never met a stranger. Her family was her world. Once you entered her life, you were family.

Carol is survived by; her eternal sweetheart, Bob Gibbs; daughters, Caprese Shoemaker, Teresa (Dee) Anderson, and Sherry (Mark) Harris; nine grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren. She was blessed through her marriage to Bob with 4 sons, Darren (Millie), Cory (Sheryl), Greg (Nancy), and Trent (Melissa) Gibbs as well as many more grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Leroy Cayen.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2nd at the Independence LDS Church at 4773 Independence Avenue in Chubbuck. Family will receive friends at a viewing from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1st at Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Road and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Interment will follow services on Monday in the Norton Cemetery in McCammon.
