Carol Ann Talbert

POCATELLO " Our beloved Carol Ann Talbert, 70, passed away September 5, 2008 at 9:00 PM. She had been diagnosed with lung cancer one year ago.

Carol Ann was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on December 3, 1937 to Leonard L. and Pearl (Baughman) Benningfield. As an infant, she moved to Southern California where she was raised and educated in Pasadena.

She met her husband, Pat Talbert, and married on June 27, 1953. And for the past 55 years they exemplified the perfect union of a woman and a man. She was a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and was especially proud of that family heritage. Throughout her working career, she worked as a telephone operator, grocery retail clerk, waitress, and hobby shop owner, where she was known as “The Train Lady.”

Carol was a lifetime member of the, of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed spending time with her family and doing the things that gave them their fulfillment. She was truly a selfless person.

She is survived by her loving husband, Pat Talbert; sons, Dale L. Talbert; Daniel S. Talbert; daughter, Debra Ann Stuckert; sister, Sandra Kindle; aunt, Grace Rasted; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
