Carmelina Conchetta Jones

May 25, 1941 — December 15, 2024

Pocatello

Carmelina "Carmen" Jones was born in 1941 on the Island of Malta. She came to the United States in 1959. Carmen lived in Rock Springs, Wyoming and Pocatello, Idaho.

Carmen was married to Hyrum Jones for 44 years.

After many years of selling jewelry and making many friends, Carmen retired. After retiring, she traveled extensively, racking up 27 cruises and visiting seven countries.

Carmen loved to travel. She enjoyed fishing, golf, bowling and kayaking. She learned how to fly, and to forge her own knives. She also collected Armani figurines.

Carmen was preceded in death by her mother & father, 17 brothers and sisters and one grandchild.

Carmen is survived by her husband Hyrum Jones of Pocatello; daughters, Janice Switzer (Rex Petersen) of Casper, Wyoming; Lori Young of Salt Lake City, Utah; sons, Rodney Jackson (Liz Smith) of Pocatello, Idaho; Lloyd Jackson (Betty) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; her sister, Catherine Busitill of Malta; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Heritage Health for their gentle care, especially Emilee Eborn, Annie Holt and all of the Hospice team.

A visitation will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID. A graveside service will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S 5th Avenue, Pocatello ID.
