Carma Daulton

January 7, 1954 — June 10, 2019

Carma Deanette Daulton (Moldenhauer) was born on Jan 7, 1954 to Nellie and Jim Moldenhauer at St. Anthony Hospital in Pocatello, ID. She was raised in Pocatello with her older sister Helen and two younger brothers, Art and Dick Moldenhauer. Carma went to Lewis and Clark Elementary, Alameda Jr. High and later graduated from Highland High School in 1972 where she participated in Pep-club with her friend Linda. Shortly after she graduated she joined the Navy where she trained as a scrub tech. While she was enlisted she met her first husband Michael Bird. They were married in 1974 and had a son, Michael Bird Jr, in 1975. They were later divorced and she met and married her second husband Louie Stauffer. They were later divorced but remained good friends until his passing. In 1986 she reconnected and married her high school sweetheart Robert Daulton and was blessed with two other children, Tachi and Terry. They were married in 1986 at the courthouse and later were married again in 1988 at St. Anthony Church. During their marriage they had a daughter, Annalisa. During her time as a scrub tech she worked at Bannock Hospital and privately for Dr. Maloff and Dr. Wills. She then accepted the position as Director of Central Processing at Portneuf Medical Center. She retired after 36 years at the hospital. One Wednesday out of the month she would join a bunch of her closest friends from the hospital for "Cadillac Margaritas" at Mama Inez. Alongside those outings she would join her coffee girls Cameron, Gloria, Jeannie and Ronalee every Tuesday for coffee at Main Steam. Carma enjoyed going out and watching her daughter Annalisa sing and her husband Robert play drums in the band. She loved to sing all of the songs and many of them at the top of her lungs. She also enjoyed family get-togethers where you could always count on her being on "Carma Time". If the party was at 3 you told her to show up at 2. Carma had many grandchildren, 20 to be exact, Eddie (Kenzie), Cheyenne, Elizabeth (Brandon), Areeona, Aubrey, Amber (Ethan), Shannon (Alex), Asia (Brandon), Pierce, Anthony, Gage, Jet, Lexi and Cayden. She also had many great-grandchildren, Daulton, Tayla, MiKayla, Kaison, Matthew, Scarhlett and Charlotte. She loved to pack all the kids into her Buick and take a drive over to the slug-bug graveyard singing "How Much is that Doggy in the Window" on their way to get ice cream at the Tastee Treat. Carma was always your "go to" for your cake needs and was most famous for her Rum Cakes, which sometimes ended up being more rum than they were cake. She also loved to spend most of her summers at the family cabin in Island Park. She blessed everyone's life and always made it a point to make everyone feel special. To Carma, family is family. There was no such thing as "blood." She always had a smile and one of the most contagious laughs. Carma passed away on June 10, 2019 surrounded by family and friends at Portneuf Medical Center. She will forever be remembered and greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her mother Nellie, father Jim Moldenhauer and her brothers Art and Dick Moldenhauer. Services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 2 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello.
