Carla Ann Russell

Carla Ann Russell, 72, of Idaho, Utah and wherever else her heart took her, passed away unexpectedly on November 12, 2021.

Carla was born in California, staying briefly in foster homes until eventually moving to Idaho with her parents and one brother. In 1965, she married the love of her life, Gary Russell. Gary and Carla had two children together, joining the three kids Gary already had. Carla raised Gary’s kids as her own.

Eventually, Carla and Gary divorced and she lived her life to the fullest. She made the best out of every situation. Carla was always in need of change in her life, keeping true to her wild and free spirit. She found joy in fashion, bargains, crocheting, and baking with her grandchildren.

Although she did not often speak on her Christian beliefs, she found comfort in opening her heart to them in recent years.

Carla is survived by her son Colby (Jenn) Russell, daughter Yulonda (Verl) Tubbs, stepson Gene (Kelly) Russell, stepdaughter Jeanne Pederson, granddaughters Carrie Tubbs, Brickelle Russell, Jesse Russell, as well as 12 other grandchildren, two great granddaughters and one brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one step daughter Shannon Dalton, and by Gary Russell.

No public services will be held at this time.
