Carl William Jones

Carl William Jones, age 57, passed away at a local care facility, Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Carl was born April 6, 1955 to Edgar Clark Jones and Edna McConkie Jones. He moved from Utah to Idaho Falls, Idaho and graduated from Skyline High School in 1976. While in his youth, he loved to play football.

He met the love of his life, Linda Wheeler and they were married in the Idaho Falls Temple August 16, 1977. They have been married for 36 years.

Carl enjoyed reading his scriptures, carving with wood and most of all, spending time with his wife and children. He was a lover of music.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his 2 day old son, Ted.

He is survived by: his wife, Linda Jones, sons; Dan Jones, Bobby Jones, Cory Gerlaman, Anthony Gerlaman, all of Pocatello, ID, and a daughter, Melissa Gerlaman of Idaho Falls. Carl's family would like to thank the 29th Ward for all of the kind and loving gestures they have given to them during this difficult time and a very special thank you to Anthony for providing transportation for Linda and shuttling her everywhere that she has needed to go.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the LDS Kinghorn Chapel located at 1700 W. Kinghorn Rd., Pocatello, Id. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow services at Mountain View Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.wilksfuneralhome.com
