Burke Melvin Frandsen (63) died February 26, 2018 at his home in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. Burke was born March 15, 1954 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Melvin Burke Frandsen and Charlene Rae Mattingly. He graduated from Kearns High School in Kearns Utah and attended Weber State University.
Burke married Sherrie Daniels, his high school sweetheart, on March 29, 1972 in Idaho. Burke spent his career in construction and law enforcement. He served the citizens of Richfield, Utah as a police officer and the citizens of the State of Utah as a Highway Patrolman.
Burke had many interest and hobbies including model railroading, camping, woodworking and spending time with family. He was proud of his Idaho roots and got to spend the last few years of his life there. Burke was very outgoing and had many friends. He had an easy laugh and a great smile. He will be remembered by his family for his good nature and many "Burke-isms."
Burke is survived by his wife, Sherrie Frandsen, his children: Destonee Wilson (Mark), Keith Burke Frandsen (Katy), Chelsea Anderson (Eric); grandchildren Dakota (Ben), Cassidy, Oakley, Kylie, Ian, Tessa, Eli, Emma, Greysen, Ada, Olivia; and sister, Melanie Gladics (Frank). He was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin Frandsen and his sister, Alayna Shipe; grandson Ethan; and his faithful dog Peppy.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 3 at 11 a.m. at the Rosewood LDS chapel, 3628 S. 2700 W. West Haven, Utah. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.wilksfuneralhome.com
