Bryan Timothy Taylor

Bryan Timothy Taylor, 39, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, July 26, 2016 following an illness. He is happy and out of pain, wrestling with his Grandpa Taylor, Cody, and Burk. Bryan was born October 9, 1976 in Honolulu, Hawaii and enjoyed telling people he was a Kanaka. He was the first of four children born to Tim and Deb Taylor and grew up in Pocatello, Idaho. He loved the beauty of the mountain at the top of Pocatello Creek Road where he grew up. He had many good friends there and always had a story to share of their adventures. His family moved to the Highland High School area when Bryan was in his teens. He attended both Highland and Pocatello High Schools but was always a Ram at heart! He went on to earn a certificate in the Diesel Electric Program at Idaho State University and was hired out of the program to work at Cummins Diesel in Hermiston, Oregon. He later hired on with Union Pacific Railroad working as a carman first in the Hinkle, Oregon yard. He recently transferred to the Pocatello yard to be near his family once again. Bryan married Sherri Burrup shortly after high school and together they had one daughter, Shaelynn. She will always be his greatest achievement. He would rope the moon, wrap it in a bow, and present it to her if he could. He loves her still more than she can ever imagine! Bryan and Sherri later divorced. Bryan was introduced to Kim Wellard in Pocatello through friends and family. They married in 2005 in Echo, Oregon. Bryan and Kim had a special bond from the moment they met. They found a joy together neither had ever known before. They often spoke the same words at the same time, called one another at the same moment. Their love was and is deep, sincere, spoken and unspoken, and everlasting in spite of time, situation, and circumstance. Bryan loved Kims five boys as his own and helped raise them. It was an arduous undertaking and an achievement he was very proud of. Their family spent nearly 10 years in the Pendleton, Oregon area before moving back to Pocatello. Bryan loved sports of all kinds! He played football and ran track in high school. He loved building, rebuilding, and racing cars and trucks (especially with his dad), riding dirt bikes, and skiing. He loved to fish and spend time with family, especially at the family cabin near Henrys Lake. He loved God, Freedom and those who defend it, horses and cowboys, guns, and pit bulls (especially our beloved Takota). Bryan was a generous, giving man who took pride in serving and helping others. He spoke out and fought for what he believed in. He lived and loved intensely, deeply, and with all of his heart. Bryan is survived by his wife, Kimberly Wellard Taylor; daughter, Shaelynn; step-sons, Torey (Shanda) Danner [children: Janae Danner and Hunter Danner], Kelan (Jerica Lange) Danner, Micah Danner, Brayden Danner, and Tristyn Danner; parents, Timothy and Deborah Taylor; sister, Lonni (Justin) Hoskins [children: Mason Pena, Gabe Pena, and Bayshia Henderson]; brothers, Zackery Taylor [children: Eyezac Taylor, Tristan Taylor, and Jaden Taylor] and Matthew (Rebecca) Taylor [son: Madsen Taylor]. Bryan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Floral Taylor; grandparents, Donald Yardley and Corrine Yardley; father-in-law, Darrell Wellard, and best friends and brothers by choice, Cody Crystal and Matthew Burk. A viewing will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. A simple service and celebration of life will follow starting at 11:00 AM. Bryan has left a beautiful and indelible imprint on our lives and hearts. He is missed terribly and will be forever deeply loved.
