Brittany Hunter

Brittany Hunter, 31, of Malad, Idaho passed away on November 15, 2022.

Brittany Hunter came into the world on May 29, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She left peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the age of 31 in Pocatello, Idaho, surrounded by family members. Born to a single mother who loved her, but could not care for her well, Brittany endured many of the real hardships of life as an infant and young child. However, Brittany never let those hardships define her or stop her from achieving her goals. On March 8, 1997, at the age of 5, she met her forever family. Brittany was the youngest child of Neal L and Donna Clark Hunter and was raised in the south-west part of the Salt Lake valley in Utah. She had parents who loved her and did their best to teach and provide opportunities for her, three brothers who teased her and protected her, and a sister who was her best friend, confidante, and fierce advocate.

An aunt by age 10, Brittany loved kids. If the kids were at the house, Brittany usually found something fun for them to do, like building forts out of cardboard boxes. At Easter, she helped decorate eggs with them. She loved dressing up with them for Halloween, which was her favorite holiday. At Christmas, she enjoyed passing out gifts. Her nieces and nephews were a source of joy and she loved being the cool aunt.

Brittany attended Riverton High School, where she was involved in FCCLA and the school restaurant. She was a hard worker, a peer tutor and on the honor roll almost every quarter. After high school, she moved to Rigby, Idaho. She eventually moved to Pocatello and then Malad. She loved interior design, cooking, and decorating and always made her house a home.

Brittany loved drawing, body art, anime, music, food, and going to the gym. Her artwork usually featured fairies or vampires – she loved fantasy and the supernatural. She was a hard-working entrepreneur. She sold hand-sewn crafts, handmade jewelry, baked goods and cotton candy, and her artwork. Even when she had little herself, Brittany was incredibly generous and always gave to others. She was fiercely loyal and loved deeply. Brittany fought tirelessly for people and causes in which she believed. She was resourceful. No matter her situation, Brittany always fought to be independent and self-sufficient.

Brittany will always be remembered for her wicked smile and sense of humor, her generosity, her passion and constant effort towards achieving her goals, regardless of the difficulty.

Brittany is survived by her beloved cats, Mufasa and Nebula, parents, Neal L and Donna C Hunter, her brothers, her sister and their spouses: Eric and Kayla Hunter, their children Addison, Lucy, Ian and Millie; Liza and Mark Ferguson, their children Jarin, and Talia, her husband Kaden James Hunt and daughter Aylin; Jon and Christina Hunter, their children Sophie, Tolson, Connor, Charlie, and Jamison; and Marc and Yuliana Hunter, with their children Lucas, Ellie, and Silas. She is also survived by her Grandma Hunter, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
