Britany Turpin was born May 8, 1994 in Pocatello, Idaho. Britany passed away unexpectedly January 16, 2022, in Pocatello.
We have many fond memories of Britany. We remember what a beautiful baby she was, and enjoyed showing her off to our friends and family. She was just so cute we may have even showed her off to a complete stranger once or twice. As she continued to blossom she remained extremely photogenic and was never shy around a camera. Britany enjoyed spending time with her friends. The friends she brought home came in all different colors, shapes, and sizes. She saw people by their heart and was accepting of all. Britany was involved in competitive dance, including clogging, hip-hop, and jazz. She was also an accomplished piano player, and could sit up at a piano and play many songs from memory throughout her life. Britany also played softball and basketball. She enjoyed these activities because she could spend more time with her friends. Britany also participated in the play Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat where she was in the children’s choir. Britany was talented at recording and editing videos of her and her friends in different skits and musical videos. We were always surprised at her creativity. Britany also had a talent for string art and even earned money for her work. One of the highlights of Britany’s life was when she went sky diving with her family. She talked about the thrill for many days and mentioned how she wanted to do that again. Going on hikes in nature and viewing sunsets were activities that brought Britany peace. Britany had a pet cat she named “Tiny” who kept her company in her apartment.
Britany graduated from Pocatello High School and furthered her education at Bridgerland Technical College where she studied in the dental assisting program. Britany worked at many different jobs and was usually given many hours to work because she was always reliable.
Britany is survived by her parents, James and Lori Turpin, sisters Breanne (Reece) Ravsten, Brielle (Jaden) Parra, and Brandie Turpin; grandparents James and Sharon Turpin and Bob and Bobby Jo Christensen.
