Edwin Brent Small returned to his heavenly home on September 10, 2014 after a valiant battle against cancer. Born on November 19, 1940 in Brigham City, Utah to Edwin Kent Small and Veressa Margaret Hunsaker. He was reared in Brigham City and in Salt Lake City. Instrumental in his upbringing were his beloved grandparents, Oscar and Peal Hunsaker, and aunt and uncle, Irvin and Zenda Hull. He attended the University of Utah where he received his bachelors degree and his MBA. While at the U he was a member of the SAE fraternity. He later received his JD from Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington, where he was the editor of Law Review. He married Frances Diane Simmons (later divorced) and were blessed with three children: Ann, E. Brent, Jr. and David. He married Marie Cason in 1999. Brent knew the value of hard work and worked hard all the days of his life. He was employed by Firestone Tire and Rubber, Key Bank and most recently was in private practice as a family law attorney. He was a talented athlete and an avid sports fan. Brent was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings over the years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and recently, by both of his sons, Brent and David. He is survived by his wife Marie, his sister Sandra (Skip) Dopp, his daughter Ann (Gray) Achiu, his grandchildren: Audra, Emma, Spencer, Elise, and Kendall and his great-grandson, Preston. Funeral services will be held at the LDS Portneuf Building, 8200 W. Portneuf Rd. in Pocatello, Idaho on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11am. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral, from 9:30-10:30 am at the church. Internment will take place at the Honeyville Cemetery, Honeyville, Utah.
