Brent Leland Grigg, 68, of Chubbuck, passed away peacefully, June 29, 2019 at his home following an extended illness.
Brent was born September 26, 1950 in Pocatello, Idaho. He was the first born of Wells Leland and NaDene (Gardner) Grigg.
Brent married Darla Ree Packer on May 18, 1973. They became the parents of 11 children and 37 grandchildren.
Brent was known by his family and friends for his tireless work ethic and generosity. He was always working on projects for his children and grandchildren. His life was centered on his faith in his Lord Jesus Christ and he tried to always live true to his testimony. Reading made him happy and when he wasn't able to read anymore, he continued to listen to his favorite books, especially the scriptures. He was rarely outspoken, but preferred to live his life as a quiet example of those around him. Many of his children remember seeing him reading his scriptures or kneeling in prayer as they woke up early for school or work. In his life he enjoyed many hobbies, including fishing, hunting, camping, and woodworking.
Brent is survived by his wife, Darla Grigg, Chubbuck, ID; children, Daralee (Greg) Brockbank, Salem, UT; Beverly (Blake) Jones, Blackfoot, ID; Aaron (Emma) Grigg, Zillah, Washington; Stephen (Amber) Grigg, Smithfield, UT; Valerie (Christian) Benedict, Lawrence, KS; Nathan (Amy) Grigg, Redondo Beach, CA; Kimberly (Joe) Seegmiller, Provo, UT; Anthon (Kayla) Grigg, Lehi, UT; Brandon (Kaylee) Grigg, Twin Falls, ID; Bryan (Emily) Grigg, Houston, TX; Brittany Grigg, Chubbuck, ID; his father, Wells Leland Grigg, Nampa, ID; siblings, Leslie (Launa) Grigg, Ammon, ID; Karen Grigg, Nampa, ID; Darin (Jill) Grigg, New York City, NY; and 37 grandchildren.
Brent was preceded in death by his mother, NaDene Grigg.
Funeral services for Brent will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Chubbuck 3rd Ward Chapel, 4773 Independence Avenue. A viewing will be held from 6-8:00 PM, Monday evening at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, and beginning at 10:00 AM prior to the services at the church. His interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery in Franklin, Idaho.
