POCATELLO-Brent L. Denton, 55, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2010. He was a very kind, loving, respected friend whom will be greatly missed by all.
He was born June 28, 1955 in Pocatello, Idaho. He was born to V. Lorraine Slack Denton and Kenneth Hensley. He was later adopted by his father Richard J. Denton. He started 1st grade in Logan, Utah then moved back to Pocatello where he attended grades 2-5 at Roosevelt Elementary then 6th grade at Green Acres Elementary. He attended Alameda Jr. High and he graduated from Highland High School in 1973.
He worked numerous jobs before he was employed by Associated Foods for 19 years as a dispatcher until the company moved from Pocatello. During this time he was married on December 16, 1978 to the love of his life Sheila P. Päpe. They were happily married for 32 years and to this union they had four children.
He was later employed as a set-up at Ballard Medical for 13 years which had perfect attendance. After the company moved, he was attending ISU Technology to receive his Associates Degree in electronics from which would have graduated from on his 33rd wedding anniversary.
He enjoyed his family and was a collector of tools. He loved Jeopardy, WWE, and playing with his 15 grandchildren, but most of all he loved playing the Power Ball. You will always be in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife Sheila Denton; children, son, Nathan (Shelly) Denton; daughter, Natasha (Savannah) Denton; son, Shane (Liz) Denton; and daughter Brittany (Deric) Christiansen; mother, V. Lorraine Denton; sister, Lynn (Jim) Wigington, 15 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father, Richard James Denton; grandparents, Vera and Vern Slack; father and mother-in-law and three brothers-in-law; and several aunts and uncles.
