Brent Everett Rieske, 25, died suddenly at 11:20 a.m., Thursday, March 18, 2021, by accidental asphyxiation in his home that he shared with his mother Carol Farnsworth in Pocatello, ID. Brent was the 6th sibling born into the family on January 18, 1996.
Brent was diagnosed with Autism and while he may have been nonverbal, his very being spoke volumes to those that knew him and those that did not. Brent lives through each and every person that loved him, and his impact has had such an amazing reach.
He lives through his sister whose life work is to better the education of those with disabilities through teaching empathy, quality of life, family support, and inclusionary practices. He lives through his brother Robert whose life work is to expand knowledge, understanding, and acceptance of Autism in our communities and improve access to services. He lives through his other siblings, family members, friends, nieces and nephews because he helped to build empathy, understanding, acceptance, and so much more. He lives through the many individuals who have worked with him over the years for so many reasons including inspiring some to continue their work with individuals with Autism and other needs, bringing so much joy, and bringing individuals together.
We believe every single person hopes that after they pass they are remembered, had an impact, and made the world a better place, and Brent's life has given us all so much that he has exceeded that hope.
Brent is survived by Carol Farnsworth (mother), Darwin DeMille (grandpa), Paul Rieske (father), Joshua and Brittany Rieske (brother and sister-in-law), Robert and Lisa Rieske (brother and sister-in-law), Katie and Danny Kent (sister and brother-in-law), Kenneth Rieske and Melissa (brother and sister-in-law), and Darin Rieske and Kody (brother and brother-in-law), Darwin Farnsworth (grandfather), and his nieces and nephews: Honey, Marcus, Kyliee, Pacer, Alexis, Helynne, Madison, Scarlett, Jameson, Jonas, Heavyn, Thomas, Bryson, Owen, Harmony, and Aria.
