Brenda Kay Merrill, 53, passed away January 30, 2020 at the care center in Blackfoot Idaho. She was born November 27, 1966 in Helena, Montana. She is the daughter of Howard and the late Geraldine Doore. She attended schools at the Crow Agency in Montana, Intermountain school in Brigham City, Utah, and San Juan, Albuquerque, New Mexico. She married Allen Merrill in Norfolk, Virginia while living at the shipyard there, and they also lived in San Diego, California. She was a seasonal laborer with the onion farmers and potato farmers in the area. She was a member of the Blackfeet Confederacy in Browning, Montana and also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her hobbies included singing, dancing, cooking, she loved scary movies; her favorite was "The Shining". Her days were better spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by her children, Winter Doore, Victoria Flores, Daniel Merrill, Rachel Merrill, Alonso Doore, and Howard Sanchez; siblings, Jacob Doore, Angel Ramos, and Doreen Doore; and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Doore; her biological father, Donald LeRoy Lee; her biological mother, Betty Jean Butterfly; brothers, Leo Butterfly, and Lloyd Butterfly. Memorial services were held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
