Brandon Mikael Hendricks, 29, passed away on September 26, 2024, in Pocatello, Idaho.
He was born on November 22, 1994, to Michael Lee Hendricks and Shannon Marie Ivie on the Edwards Air Force Base in Edwards, California. They lived in Italy for a few months and then spent most of his childhood in Michigan.
Growing up, Brandon was bubbly, outgoing, and always telling jokes. After some vacations to Idaho, Brandon fell in love with the area and grew really close to his aunt, Mariah, he moved out to Pocatello.
Brandon worked very diligently with a home for mentally handicap individuals. Later, he moved on to work in the HR Department with Idaho State University helping students with their internships.
One of Brandon’s favorite things he liked doing was playing video games. There he made two of his best friends: Toni an Bobbie Bell of British Columbia. They have been close friends for over three years now.
In 2017, Brandon met Cassandra Atencio and since then, they have created a beautiful life. Their marriage was filled with little pranks, like little kids picking on each other. Home cooked dinners were filled with him serenading Cassandra to “Careless Whispers” or doing his little dancey-dance just to see her smile.
Brandon’s greatest accomplishment is his family. He was a huge supporter of the goals and accomplishments for everyone in his life, always a cheerleader for their success. In his spare time, Brandon was enjoying target practice with uncles and cousins, fishing trips, and family BBQ’s. Brandon also had a unique love for the ocean and aquatic life.
Brandon held a strong bond with his daughter, Sakirah. He would chase her around the house the second he came home from work trying to find her little hiding spots. He loved to dance with Sakirah to his favorite songs. Anytime Brandon would pick up Kahleia she would get giddy and caress his beard instantly. Brandon had an immense pride and joy in being a dad.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Leilani Shae-Lee Hendricks, sister Shae Lee Hendricks, grandfather Gary Hendricks, and grandmothers Phyllis Ivie, Gail Uhlenhake, and Linda Drolet.
Brandon is survived by his wife, Cassandra Atencio, daughters Sakirah Hendricks and Kahleia Hendricks, mother Shannon (Scott) Ivie-Hissock of Burtchville, MI, father Michael Hendricks of Bloomfield Hills, MI, grandparents Terry (Angie) Ivie of Pocatello, ID, grandfather Tommy Uhlenhake of Wildwood, FL; aunt Mariah (Ryan) Sweeney of Pocatello, ID; aunt Angel Morris of FL; uncle Steve Hendricks, uncle Dave (Honilynn) Hendricks, and aunt Deanna Hendricks of MI; mother-in-law Veronica Atencio of Pocatello, ID; cousins Angelica (Derek) Girse, cousins Trinity, Rylan, and Damiano Sweeney of Pocatello, ID; and many, many other cousins.
