Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Bonnie Rae Stuart Bluemel, 79, passed away peacefully April 21, 2016 in her home from natural causes. The middle child of Verde and Gladys Stuart, Bonnie was born February 24, 1937 in Morgan, Utah. She grew up in Morgan, graduating from Morgan High School in 1955.
In 1956, she married Milton Glenn Bluemel. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. Together they had 7 children. In 1974 they divorced, our mom was very determined and succeeded in providing a loving home for her children. She worked at Grand Central and retired from Lamb Weston after 19 years.
She was accomplished in baking, cooking, gardening and sewing. Her life-long passion for baking earned her a four-star baker award, numerous trophies and ribbons in the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Mom showed her love to her family through her baked goods and handiwork. All of her children looked forward to her cookies and candy at Christmas. She had a big laugh and freely teased and joked around with her family. Her bread-kneading biceps made her the arm wrestling champ in the Bluemel home and was proud of each win... which was many.
Bonnie is survived by 5 children: Roy (Margaret) Bluemel, Bryan Bluemel, Wendy (David) Coon, Kyle (Dee) Bluemel, and Cory Bluemel; sister Betty Wilkinson and brother Dennis (Cleo) Stuart. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children, Milton Glen Bluemel, Jr. and Melonie Bluemel; brother-in-law Bert Wilkinson; parents, Verde and Gladys Stuart.
