Robert G "Bob" Farnsworth age 77 of Pocatello Idaho passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 7, 2013 at local health care facility. Bob was born on March 13, 1935 to Alice Gale and Frank W Farnsworth in Beaver Utah, where he spent his childhood and early teen years. He had 4 older brothers and 2 younger sisters. His family eventually moved to Bicknell, Utah where Bob graduated from High School. In 1957 Bob joined the Air Force. While serving at Walker AFB in New Mexico he met and later married Patricia Joanne Davis. They had 5 children. Their oldest child, a son, passed away just a few days after his birth. He served in Air Force for six years where he lived in many places both in the United States and in Europe. Bob and Pat were later divorced. Eventually Bob moved to Pocatello, where as luck would have it, a friend fixed Bob up on blind date with Karma Prisby. After a lengthy eight week courtship they were married. They had 2 children. Bob was a journeyman electrician working in both residential and commercial fields. At the time of his retirement he was working for the State of Idaho in St Anthony Idaho. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the scriptures and teaching and served in many calling, but his favorite calling had to be with the Boy Scouts. He was an avid Scouter and had received the Silver Beaver award. Bob loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. Hobbies he shared with his sons and grandsons. He also enjoyed gardening and collecting coins. He is survived by his six children, Pattilyn (Kyle) Bodily, Doug Farnsworth, Mari Beth Allmond, Rob (Becky) Farnsworth, Brian (Melissa) Farnsworth, Anna Farnsworth, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Karma Lynn Prisby Farnsworth, his infant son Alan Gale Farnsworth,his parents and his 6 siblings. We wish to thank all those who took such loving care of Bob at Monte Vista Hills Healthcare Center. You were so kind to our father. What he lacked in patience he made up for with a big heart. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Cedar 4 th Ward located at 550 W. Cedar, with Bishop Dale Diller conducting. Military honors will be held at the church following the services. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery.
