Blanche Tarbet Robbins passed on August 22, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by her family. Blanche was born in Arimo, Idaho, on February 8, 1921, to William K. Tarbet and Edith A. Wilson Tarbet. She attended Arimo schools and graduated from Arimo High in 1938. She met her husband, Wallace E. Robbins in 1949. They were married on October 20, 1950. Blanche worked for Orange Transportation, followed by Fargo's Department Store and then retired from Guarantee Federal Savings and Loans. After retirement she continued to work part-time for Intermountain Claims until she fully retired at the age of 75. Blanche was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, attending the First Ward and holding several positions. Blanche enjoyed giving out treats to all that she knew and walking her dogs around her neighborhood. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Robbins Page, and her son, Don (Lisa) Robbins, both of Boise; her granddaughter, Michelle Stuart, of Eugene Oregon; and her grandson, Eric B. Robbins of Boise; her great-granddaughter, Danielle P. Robbins of Boise; and great-grandson, Henry Robbins Belton of Eugene Oregon. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her siblings, Wilson Tarbet, Norma Norris Egland, and Martha Green. The family extends special thanks to Marlene Green, Connie Aguilar and Pat Behrendt. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, Aug. 29 at the LDS First Ward Church at 655 S. Grant Ave. at 11 a.m. A viewing will be held on Friday, Aug. 28 at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. Fourth Ave., from 6 to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to services at the church Saturday. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
