Blanche Gonzales

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful angel, Blanche Gonzales. Our angel regained her wings, May 27, 2023, at the age of 66, surrounded by her loved ones.

Blanche was born December 22, 1956, in Del Rio, Texas, to Candelario Flores, Sr. and Dominga Morales-Flores.

She was raised in Tyhee, Chubbuck area with her parents and 9 siblings.

Blanche first married Jimmy Moran, and in that union had Wendy Moran.  They were later divorced.

Blanche met the love of her life, Jamie Gonzales in 1982. They were married on March 21, 1986. In this union, they had their son, Jamie Gonzales and then came their daughter, Sandra Gonzales.

Blanche had a passion for taking care of others. She worked at various health care facilities, including East Gage and the Idaho State Veterans Home. After leaving the Veterans Home, she started working in home health care, caring for her nephew, Ricky Garza and her sister, Romie Flores. She also loved caring for her daughter, Sandra.

When she was not caring for her loved ones, you could find her playing the slots at the Shoshone-Bannock Casino, with her husband, son and daughter. She also had a green thumb, and would always be working in her yard, planting her beautiful flowers. One thing she loved the most was spending time with her great grandsons, Ezekiell, who she called skinny and Luciano, chunky.

Blanche is survived by her husband, Jaime Gonzales; daughter, Wendy Moran; son, Jamie Gonzales; daughter, Sandra Gonzales; sisters, Mary (Jimmy) Garza, Romie Flores, Lisa (Tyrone) Chacon; brothers, David (Juanita) Flores, Eddy Flores, Candelano, Jr. (Janae), and many grandkids and great grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gilbert Flores; Baldemar Flores, George Flores and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 2, 2023 at Wilks Funeral Home. Family will meet with friends and relatives from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Wilks Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made toward the funeral costs to Wilks Funeral Home.
