Blaine Anderson

January 4, 1919 — March 30, 2014

Blaine Stanley Anderson, age 95, left this mortal existence March 30, 2014. Born
January 4,1919 in La Verkin, Utah, Blaine was the oldest of five children born to Walter
Herbert Anderson and Lola Pearl Button Anderson. When he was 12, his family moved
to Salt Lake City. During World War II, Blaine served as an army air force supply
technician in the Western Pacific. Following the war, he returned to Salt Lake City and
worked primarily in purchasing and sales. After retirement, he lived in Washington,
Oregon, and Idaho. He enjoyed reading health magazines, collecting rocks,
corresponding with friends and relatives, and shopping at Walmart. Blaine is survived
by one brother (Robert) and five children: Connie, Marianne, Thomas, Rochelle, and
Denise. The family would like to thank the staff at the Idaho State Veterans Home and
Encompass Home Health & Hospice for the excellent care given to Dad during the final
three months of his life. At Dadʼs request, there will be no memorial service. Dad, we
love you and wish you well on your journey "To unpathed waters, undreamed
shores," (Winterʼs Tale, Act iv, Scene 4).
