Billy Eugene McCann passed away unexpectedly at his home in Pocatello, Idaho on August 15, 2017 at the age of 55.
Bill was born on August 29, 1961 in Rupert, Idaho to Walter Stanley and Lois McCann. He was the youngest of six. He graduated from Minico High School (Rupert, Idaho) in 1979. He attended and studied Machining/CNC at Idaho State University and graduated in 1991. After moving to Pocatello, Idaho, Bill began working for General Products Machine Shop in 1992 and continued there until the day before he passed away.
On January 31, 1989 Bill took his high school sweetheart, Kathleen Hanks to be his wife. Together they raised a beautiful family.
He loved his kids and his grandkids more than anything, and was always willing to help them. He was hard working and very skilled working with metal and wood. He was always able to do a flawless cartwheel. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Bill is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Pocatello, Idaho), his daughters Savana (Brad) Larson of Pocatello, Idaho, Kasie McCann (Pocatello, Idaho), Billie (Josh) Cutler (Pocatello, Idaho), Jackie McCann (Pocatello, Idaho), and a son Ryan McCann (Pocatello, Idaho), 5 grandchildren, Malaya, Jace, Kasen, Mason, with one more on the way, and siblings, Stanley (Missy) McCann (Sweethome, Oregon), Debbie Platts (Boise, Idaho), Donald McCann (Weiser, Idaho), Robert McCann (Idaho Falls, Idaho), and Norman (Glenda) McCann (Zephyrhills, Florida). He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lois McCann; a niece, Tifeny Rush, and a half-sister, Patsy Snider.
A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road. Funeral services for Bill will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Hansen Mortuary, 710 6th Street in Rupert. Family will receive friends at a viewing one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the Hansen Mortuary. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bill's life. Graveside services will follow the services at the Rupert Cemetery where Bill will be laid to rest close to his parents.
