Billinell Pool

September 11, 1934 — March 12, 2024

Billinell ("Billi") Pool passed away at the age of 89, in Pocatello, Idaho, the town she called home for most of her life. Billie was born on 9/11/34 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Bill and Nell Pool. She was the oldest of three with two brothers: Nick Pool and Al Pool.

Billi leaves behind a life full of adventure and travel, selling timeshare as a top sales person in Mazatlan, Mexico, Istapa/Zihuantanyo, Mexico, Turangi, New Zealand, Las Vegas, Nevada and Island Park, Idaho.

She managed the Pocatello Mall from the time it opened with 6 stores, and 48 stores when she left.

Her proudest contribution was at Idaho State University, as the Director of Special Services for Disadvantaged Students, recruiting handicapped and low income minority students to the university.  Many of these students became lasting friends with Billi. She loved to have them to her home for fabulous dinners that she was so proud to serve.  She was an avid reader and would devour a book a

day. She treated her friends as family, even at times when she had so little.

She leaves behind three children that she raised mostly on her own, and four grandchildren. Her oldest son is David Lundgren whose wife is Sandy Lundgren, her daughter is Cynthia Lundgren whose husband is Al Dodson, and her youngest son is Paul Lundgren whose wife is Chris Chorak. Cynthia has two sons: Weston and Colin Ferguson. Paul and Chris have two sons: Luke and Cole Lundgren.

Billi chose not to have a service, and she will be buried with her parents at Pocatello's Mountain View Cemetery.
