Beverly C Wright

July 22, 1932 — April 15, 2023

Beverly Wright was born July 22, 1932 in Rigby, Idaho to Carmen Etta Robbins George and Thomas Clarence George. She was the youngest of four children. She attended school in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School. While in high school, she was a cheerleader, played cornet in the marching band, and also played the piano. She loved cheering for the Rigby Red Devils. She graduated from high school in 1950 at the age of 17. Her parents, Carmen and Tom George were partners in the George’s Royal Theater where they were in charge of concessions. While working at the concession stand at the age of 13, Beverly met a handsome boy from Lewisville, Idaho named Bob M. Wright. In Bev’s senior year, Midway High School burned down. All of the kids were transferred from Midway to Rigby High School. Wouldn’t you know it, Bob Wright attended Midway. As luck would have it, Bob found himself as a classmate with Beverly. On September 26, 1951, Beverly married Bob, the love of her life. The ceremony took place in her parents’ living room, in front of the beautiful fireplace in Rigby, Idaho.

Bob and Beverly lived in Menan and Rigby where Bob worked in his father’s livestock business. The first two of four children, Teresa and Susan, were born during that time. Bob decided he wanted to attend college and moved the family to Pocatello. While attending Idaho State, their third child Hal, was born shortly after. In 1960, Bob graduated with a degree in pharmacy, while Beverly was pregnant with the fourth child, Scott.

A woman of many passions and talents, Beverly was a doting mother and wife, making countless wonderful family meals. She loved all animals, and the house was always full of birds, cats, and dogs. Beverly loved birds and had several as pets that she taught to talk. Her birds were known to say, “Hi Sweetheart,” and “Well, hello!” in the same voice as Bev. It was uncanny that animals also loved Beverly

and were drawn to her. Beverly was a fabulous homemaker and cook. She was a talented artist, teaching herself oil painting where she painted several beautiful seascapes, mountain scapes, and lifelike portraits. She also went through a crochet phase and made several throw blankets.

Beverly came to know Jesus Christ as her savior and Lord in her adult life at Central Christian Church and was baptized there as a profession of her faith. Bob and Beverly attended Calvary Chapel church in Pocatello for several years where their Christian faith grew. She loved to teach her grandchildren about the Lord and all the treasures in the Bible. After 71 ½ years of marriage, Jesus took her home.

Family was most important to mom. She insisted on family birthdays and picnics with grandkids at Justice Park and Cherry Springs. She threw big family parties and barbecues on their patio. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Bob and Beverly owned a cabin in Island Park where they held wonderful family gatherings. She insisted on being

entertained by her kids and grandkids through plays, songs, and dance - whether they had any talent or not. Island Park was a place to build lasting memories. Bob and Beverly had several friends in Island Park. Together, they all enjoyed playing cards, swimming, boating and fishing. In their 60’s they bought four-wheelers and toured all over the caldera with friends. She loved long walks and mushroom

hunting.

Beverly was the fun-pusher. She had a lighthearted personality and was the life of the party. All of life was a song, literally, and she sang until the day she passed. Her kids and grandkids know all the songs she sang and poems she recited, many of which were passed down from her mother, Carmen. She loved life and loved her people well.

Her family would like to thank Heritage Hospice and all the lovely staff at the Gables for their tender compassion and care they provided Beverly. Special thanks to Annabritt Richardson from Friends and Family who cared for our parents while in their home.

Beverly is preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, and brothers. She is survived by her loving husband, Bob Wright, and her children, Teresa (Brent) Wilde, Susan (Craig) Norby, Hal (Janet) Wright, and Scott (Patty) Wright, nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

This beautiful soul will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and loved her.
