Betty Burt

Betty Lou Burt, 81, was born May 15, 1935 daughter of Dora Lavina Dawson and Chester "Slim" L. Brillhart in Pocatello Idaho. Betty attended Pocatello schools. She married Martel Burt October 15, 1962. They lived in the house they built together in 1975. She had three children; Susan Rae, Ray Lee, and Marta Lu. She worked several jobs before being employed at School District #25 in the cafeteria from where she retired. Betty enjoyed spending time with her two sisters and going on their annual trip to Mackay, Idaho. She also enjoyed snow machining at the cabin in Island Park. She loved spending time with Marta, Shaunae and Dani, going on their dates. She also spent her time doing crafts and crocheting. She is survived by her daughter, Marta (Warren) Smith; grandchildren, Chase Burt Millward, and Shaunae Rae Millward; 4 great-grandchildren, Dante, Ada, Lexi, and Dani. Sisters, Barbara Littleford, Bernadine (Lyle) Kissel; brother, Blaine (Betty) Brillhart. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Susan; and son, Ray. Her husband Martel, sisters, Beverly and Beula and two infant brothers, Larry and Bobby. A viewing will be held Monday, February 27, 2017 from 4 to 6 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave., Pocatello, ID. A memorial will be held later in the summer.
