Beth Holladay Taysom, 80, of Pocatello, Idaho returned to the loving arms of her Father in Heaven after a valiant battle with cancer, Tuesday, October 20, 2009.
Beth was born September 13, 1929 in Tucson, Arizona to Lawrence Eugene and Rowena Lines Holladay. Beth was the 5th child in a family of 6 children. She attended Tucson High School and graduated from the University of Arizona. She taught school in Denver Colorado where she met her eternal companion Dewey W. Taysom from Pocatello, Idaho. They were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple November 18, 1954. After Dewey completed his service in the Air Force, they made Pocatello their home, where they raised 5 children, Gail (Heman) Smith, Carol (Cliff) Barnes, Lance (Cami) Taysom, Darren (Danene) Taysom, and Linda (Robert) Eggimann.
Beth and Dewey started Caribou Ski Area, where their family enjoyed years of fun providing recreation for the community.
Beth and Dewey's time together on this earth was cut short when Dewey was killed in a plane crash in 1973.
Beth was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many organizations but her greatest love was the Primary where she played the piano.
Beth is best known for her love and service to her family. She is survived by her 5 children, 21 grand-children, and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dewey, her parents, her brothers; Morse, Gale, Gene and Spencer and her sister Laver.
