IDAHO FALLS-After 45 years of separation, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Beth Palmer Anderson, 86, passed away peacefully to join her eternal companion, Melton D. Anderson on July 22, 2011, at her daughter's home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was born to Charles Vernon and Hannah Myfanwy Williams Palmer on April 28, 1925 in Pocatello, Idaho. Mother attended school in Rexburg, Idaho, Alta, Wyoming, Pocatello, Idaho, and graduated from Pocatello High School. After high school, she worked for Idaho Refining Company for five years. She loved reading with children, so she worked for almost ten years as a Chapter II Aide at Lewis and Clark Elementary. Mother was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in positions as counselor and later as president of the MIA, the Relief Society Presidency, an Associate Librarian, Meeting House Librarian, and Stake Director of Libraries. She married Melton Davis Anderson on April 21, 1945 in Salinas, California. They were later sealed for all time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple. Her hobbies were making homemade chocolates, sewing, leather crafts, and painting ceramic and porcelain figurines. She loved musical productions and raising flowers in her yard. Mother is survived by her four children, Ileen and John McMinn of Tremonton, Utah, Lynn Anderson, Marie and Paul Chugg, Janet and Mike Poliski, all of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one brother, Johnny and Wanda Palmer, Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters-in-law, Renee Anderson, Ardella and LaMar Long, and brother-in-law Gayle and Dorothy Anderson, all of Pocatello, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Melton D. Anderson; grandson Mark Poliski; her parents Vern and Hannah Myfanwy (Van) Palmer; sister Harriet Yvonne (Von) Barber and brother Stanley Edlin Palmer. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2011, in the Lakeview LDS Chapel, 1440 Lakeview Drive, Pocatello, with Bishop Greg Bean officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave, Pocatello, and also prior to the funeral service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the church.
