Berta Lee Cox Hall, 88, long time resident of Pocatello, passed away due to cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family on July 12, 2024 while at home. Berta was born on July 19, 1935 in Santa Cruz, CA to Buddie and Alfred Bolinger. Her mom got divorced and married Rowland Edward Cox who adopted her. They moved to Pocatello in 1953 and Berta graduated in 1955 from Pocatello High School. It was there when she met the love of her life, Lafe Hall.
They had two sons, Joseph Lafe Hall and Steven Jack Hall. She loved her sons and was always there to support them in their sports and was behind them on everything they did.
Berta loved archery shooting and was a long time member of the Pocatello Field Archers. She loved to paint pictures, wildlife, flowers, mountains, and trees. Berta loved kids. She was a PTA mom, Boy Scout leader and really enjoyed being a Sunday School teacher for years.
Berta loved her boys and her grandkids. She always had a special place in her heart for her family.
Preceding Berta in life are her husband, Lafe Hall; son, Joseph Hall; mom, Buddie Cox; dad, Edward Cox; two brothers, Roy and Jack; one sister, Delores; great-grandson, Justin; and many other family members.
We love you and we will see you again. Have fun until we meet again.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 6 - 7:30 pm at Colonial Chapel, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho. Services will be on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 11 am also at Colonial Chapel with a viewing for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5th Avenue Pocatello, Idaho.
