Bernadette Bell, 54, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, at a local hospital. She was born on October 28, 1958, in Pocatello, Idaho. She has one brother, Raynard Harlen Bell, and was raised by her Grandma Anne Bell. She attended schools in Fort Hall and also attended Blackfoot High School and Southwestern Indian Poly-Tech Institute (SIPI). She then studied marketing and managements at ISU. Bernadette was very fluid in her Native Bannock language. She had a strong Christian faith. She also belonged to NAMI - mental health outreach group. She loved to buy, sell, and trade beadwork. She also loved to travel, fish, and hunt. When she was younger she was a dancer at POW-WOW's. Bernadette is survived by her aunt Ramona Walema; cousins Dorsey C. Plentywounds, Charley B. Plentywounds, Lyle J. Plentywounds, Clinton J. (Sandy) Plentywounds, Connie L. Plentywounds, and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews from Idaho, Washington, Nevada, Montana, and Oregon. She is preceded in death by her mother and her brother. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Following the funeral there will be a traditional Teepee viewing at the home of Ramona Walema until a graveside service at 1 pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the Gibson Cemetery.
