Belva Primm

October 30, 1916 — October 3, 2008

POCATELLO " Belva B. Primm returned home to our Father in Heaven on October 3, 2008. She was born in Newdale, Idaho, on October 30, 1916, and would have been 92 years of age in a few short days. She was the sixth of eight children born to Jedediah Grant Bird and Annie Marie Larsen.

Her mother passed away when she was five years old, so she spent much of her young life helping her father and siblings care for their home and farm. Belva married James Arby Primm on November 16, 1932. This marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They were married for 52 years.

Belva and Arby moved to Arimo in 1947, and raised their family there. He was an agent for General Mills and she worked as a Data Processing Supervisor for Farmer's Insurance. After retirement, she cared for her sweetheart for 11 years until his death in 1984. During that time, she was very active with the Senior Citizens organization in Driggs, and was instrumental in getting housing and a center built in Driggs for the seniors. She will be remembered for her love of people and her eagerness to help others.

Belva is survived and will be dearly missed by a son, Jerry Evans (Carol) Primm of Shelley; and a daughter, Anna Marie (John) Ratliff of Pocatello. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, James Arby, all seven of her siblings, and one son, James Leslie.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 10, 2008 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, Idaho. Family and friends may attend the viewing held from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service. The interment will be in the Arimo Cemetery at approximately 2:00 p.m.
