Bart John Rees, passed away in his sleep peacefully; following his favorite day of the year "the fourth of July". Bart was born on October 30, 1974 in Tempe, Arizona to Linda Ruth McMurtrey and Ernest John Rees. Bart was raised in Chubbuck Idaho, attending schools at; Chubbuck Elementary, Hawthorne Jr. High and Highland High School.
Bart had a passion for music attending; the Art Institute of Seattle. Anywhere, you would find Bart you would hear LOUD music. Bart lived in Seattle, WA for several years; making many friends everywhere he went. Bart discovered a love for Las Vegas, Nevada. He drove taxi for several years in "Vegas", Bart loved the night life, the bright lights, the vacation mentality, and Bart enjoyed telling stories. Never have we met someone whose stories were only those out of a movie series, a book. He had so many stories and loved to tell each and every detail.
Bart loved lived life as if it was just living one day at a time. He loved each person that showed up; each day was a new adventure. He worked laying carpet in several high rise buildings for 15 years. Bart loved the homeless, unfortunate, mentally ill and those who struggled with addictions. Ever since he was a child he would ask for a quarter, "Please mom, they need money." Bart never placed judgement on others. He knew how to love as "Jesus did". Bart's life was all about "Love" that's all he asked for in this life was to love and be loved. This was Bart's ultimate purpose. Bart expressed a special love for his nieces and nephews. Bart truly believed that his nieces and nephews were his children. Often times he would introduce Stevi Jo Neary as his daughter, her mother always trying to correct him.
