Barney A. Frey

Barney A. Frey, 79, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at his home in Pocatello, of natural causes. Barney Anthony Frey was born in Marksville, Louisiana on October 10th, 1937 to Ralph Henry and Verda Elizabeth Joffrion Frey. When he was 7 years old they moved to Idaho, where they resided in Pocatello.

He married Belva Capell and they brought 5 children in to their family. Daughter, Toni (Davin); Sons, Dan (Rose), Roger (Nikki), Ron (Cherrie) and Mike. They were later divorced.

He Married Jeanette Cherry Frey in 1981 and they had 2 wonderful daughters. Kimberly (Andy) and Amanda.

He is survived by his wife and children as well as 3 sisters, Lurlene (Arnie) Haag, Debi (Thomas) Markey and Sandi (Jay) Lenker, 28 Grandchildren/Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barney worked for Garrett Freight lines for 26 years until they closed. After that, He worked as a Long Haul Driver and then retired from School District 25.

Barney loved to spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping, backyard BBQs, being outdoors and life in general. He was always very active. He liked to stay busy working on the house and around the yard. He was always busy making things with his hands. He is going to be deeply missed. We love you Babe and Dad.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wilks Funeral Home, 211 West Chubbuck Road. There will be a viewing on Monday April 17th, from 6 to 8pm at Wilks Funeral Home and funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00pm also at Wilks. Upon his request, he will be cremated.
