B. Jack Stoltz

Bernard Jack Stoltz was born in Freeport, Ill on December 4th 1926, where he lived out his youth until he joined the Navy and served in WWII. After the navy he held a variety of jobs and traveled around the states until he settled in Pocatello ID as an Air traffic controller. On September 5th,1949, he married Norma Mensenkamp, and they had two children, Greg and Julie. He later married Karen Kay Johnson until she passed in 2002 . He later met and adored Dora Guidotti who became his companion and caregiver until his passing. Jack loved many things in his life including flying, golf, fishing and camping, collecting coins, riding his motorcycle across the states, and having neighbors and family over for get-togethers on his deck. He was a member and helped out with many organizations such as the Eagles, Elks, Civil Air Patrol, Air force Reserve, Idaho Youth Ranch, and a Honorary Member or the PGA. Jack had various motorcycles and cars while growing up. For his 50th Class Reunion, he drove his Harley back to Freeport. He showed it off to everyone. He also got his first cell phone so he could keep in touch while traveling by himself. He had an excellent time. On a flight in the Aronka Chief to Island Park, Jack took Greg for root beer floats by landing on the highway and taxiing to the Last Chance A & W. Julie and Jack were fishing buddies. He once took Julie and her friend, Corey, fishing to Devil's Creek early in the morning. They fished for hours with no bites, had a picnic, weathered a storm at the lake and continued fishing all day with still no fish. It was late in the evening when we were coming off the lake and Jack threw one more line in. Suddenly there were so many fish; they couldn't keep up with taking them off the hooks. Corey started netting and we left with about 20 trout. We arrived at the trailer and the tire was flat. Jack took it into Malad to be fixed since there was no spare. Needless to say we didn't get home until after midnight, but we had a great day and this in one of her favorite memories. Jack is survived by his Children, Greg and Julie, and by their kids and grandkids. He is also survived by his Step-Children Sherrie, Tina and Anna. He has 8 grandchildren and 11great grandchildren. He is also survived by his puppies Harley-D and Bud-light. Preceeded in death by his parents and brother Duane Stoltz, Norma Stoltz, and Karen Kay Stoltz.
