“After all, to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure.”- Albus Dumbledore
Ayla Ivy-Nichole Lake, beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, friend, and Slytherin member, returned to her Heavenly Father to begin her next great adventure on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Primary Children’s Hospital surrounded by her mud blood family.
“But know this; the ones that love us never really leave us.” – Sirius Black
Ayla was born October 30, 2004 in Pocatello, Idaho to her mother, Tenaya K Bolton, and was the oldest of 6 children.
When Ayla wasn't practicing spells or learning about potions at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and was forced back to muggle life, she attended elementary schools in Pocatello, ID Green River, WY and Montpelier, ID. She attended middle school in Montpelier, ID and high school at Highland High School and ICON Academy in Pocatello, ID. She planned on attending college at Boise State University after she graduated from high school and Hogwarts.
She loved all kinds of artistic expression. She was a member of the Highland Lassies dance team, acted in many theatrical productions, made countless costumes that she both designed and constructed, had an amazing singing voice, sketched numerous amazing pictures both digitally and on paper and generally made the world a brighter, happier place for all who knew her. She wanted to attend acting school and hoped to one day be in some Disney shows.
“We do not need magic to transform the world. We carry all the power we need inside ourselves already.” -J.K. Rowling
Ayla loved to read and one of her favorites was the Harry Potter series. She was an avid Harry Potter fan, thoroughly immersing herself in the storyline and bringing it to life in her day-to-day world by talking with and informing muggles (non-wizard people) about the intricacies of the wizard world.
“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” - Albus Dumbledore
She was a friend to many and loved by all. There were no strangers to Ayla. She had a smile for everyone and reached out to all around her in genuine friendship. She could always be found talking to people who were shy or reserved and pulling them into whatever activity she was involved in, or just genuinely talking to them and making them feel like the most important person in the world during those moments.
“You are protected, in short, by your ability to love!” - Albus Dumbledore
