Audrey Ann Carter

March 12, 1940 — September 9, 2024

Ann Carter was born on March 12th, 1940, to Ellis Bennion Chase and Audrey Melissa Wardle Chase in Idaho Falls, Idaho. At the young age of 14, Ann lost her father, and her mother moved her family to Pocatello. Ann graduated from Pocatello High School and went on to Utah State University, where she earned her bachelors in social work. She then went on to work for the LDS church working with unwed mothers. Well working there, Ann met her soulmate Bud Carter. They were married on March 15, 1968. In February of 1975, they welcomed their daughter Kristine into the world. Kristine was Anns whole world. In 1983, Ann and Bud were sealed in the Salt Lake temple for time and all eternity. Anns beloved Bud passed away in 2002. Kristine then stepped in to care for Ann until her last breath.

Ann loved to read, care, and help others, being outdoors, especially in the mountains. Play the piano and be a friend to all. But most of all, she loved spending time with Kristine, and she adored their dog Tillie.

Ann is survived by her daughter Kristine of Pocatello, Idaho. She is pedceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Audrey Chase. Her brothers Kenneth, Dale, and Roger. Her sister Carolyn. And Bud Carter, her soulmate.

At the request of Ann, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. At this time, Kristine asks for patience as she gets through the loss of her mother and best friend.
