Audra Othalee Pierce Wagner, 88, passed away July 14, 2015 Pocatello ID Audra was born August 22, 1926 Daughter of John Norris Peirce and Agnes Turner in Phillipsburg Missouri. She was born during the great depression and the roaring 20s. Mom was one of eight children; 5 girls, and 3 boys. She grew up on a farm and learned the value of hard work, working in the fields. She loved playing house always cooking, cleaning, working with her many family members. Mom was taught to sew, quilt, and cook. Grandmother was my Moms love; her name was Annie Bolton Clayton. They called her Anna B. and loved to spend many hours with her. She married Elvin E. Tyre in December, 1945, shortly after he returned from WWll. Elvin was a decorated WWll hero, and bravely fought in Europe and was awarded the Bronze Star. Audra and Elvin had two children; Carolyn Kay Tyre, and David Elvin Tyre. They later divorced. She later married Floyd Eugene Wagner in 1958. He was from Oklahoma, and fought in the Philippines and was a wonderful step dad and Father; he had a fabulous family and loved them all. He was also a WWll Veteran. Floyd and Elvin passed away in 1983, one in California and the other in Missouri three months apart. Audra has 4 grandchildren: she lost her first grand baby in delivery. Her name was Christina Jean, and then they had Ginger Renee, James Walter, and John Michael. Audra loved her wonderful grandbabies. Her great grandchildren are Brittany Alexis, Turner, Swade, Damron, Georgia Brook, Lexia Ann, and Bridgett Crane. Mother was a housewife, hospital employee, caregiver and antique store clerk. In her later years she managed two adult mobile home parks in Brentwood and Oakley California. She was a member of the Baptist church in Lebanon Missouri. Audra had many hobbies she made beautiful wedding dresses and formals, childrens clothes she loved yard sales, LOL. She made many beautiful quilts, embroidered tea towels, crocheted doilies. However, her true love was cooking; making homemade apple pies, jellies and canning. She received ribbons at fairs for her hand work. One of her favorite activities was dancing and was good at the jitterbug dance. She loved her pup Toby till the end. Memorial services for Audra Othalee Wagner will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church, 408 North Arthur Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho.
