Arthur "Dale" Neil

Arthur "Dale" Neil, 92, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 at a local care center. On June 5, 1924, Dale was born in Kemmerer, Wyoming to Archie and Ann Neil, where he was raised and graduated from high school in 1942. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving in the South Pacific. He was honorably discharged in January 1946. On November 6, 1946, he married Pat Thornock. Together they had three children; Glenn, Bob and Carol. Pat passed away in January 1964. He then married LueReeta Robertson on May 11, 1973 and together they had a son, Scott. LueReeta added five more children to the family; Alan, Brian, Calvin, Delwin "Robert", and Evelyn. Dale worked for Consolidated Freight for 38 years and retired in 1986. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was a member of the LDS church serving in callings such as ward Sunday School President and High Priest group leader. He served two Family History missions as well as a third mission at Fort Hall. Dale enjoyed reading, flying, hunting, fishing and camping, and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife, LueReeta Neil; children, Glenn (Lawana) Neil, Bob (Crystal) Neil, Carol (Jim) Driebergen, Scott (Cindi) Neil; step-children, Alan Frew, Brian Frew, Calvin Frew, D. Robert Frew and Evelyn Padgett; 47 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pat Neil; siblings, Gordon Neil, Bonnie Pitkins, Bruce Neil and "Jack" Neil. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID, 208-233-1500. Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 11 am at the LDS Chubbuck 2 nd Ward Chapel, 4775 Hawthorne Rd. Chubbuck, ID 83202, with a viewing for one hour prior to the services.
