Arthur Andrew Mills

Arthur Andrew Mills passed away at the age of 74 on June 23, 2021, in his home. He was born May 27, 1947, in Gooding, ID, to Ward and Thelma (Dille) Mills, the eighth of nine children.

He grew up on the family farm north of Shoshone, ID. He attended Shoshone schools and graduated from Shoshone High School. He then attended Idaho State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree.

While he was in high school, he played on the football team. He enjoyed going fishing, camping, and hiking all his life. After graduating from ISU, he joined the Air Force and was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, CO. It was in Denver that he met his future wife, Bobby Parker. They were married in 1973 and moved to Pocatello shortly afterward so Arthur could continue his studies at ISU. He went to work for the US Postal Service a few years later, and worked there until his retirement. He enjoyed working outside taking care of the yard and his garden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jack, Don, Darwin and Kip, and his sisters Virginia Chittock, Jeanatta Knowles, and Versa Hollibaugh. He is survived by his daughter Amy Lea Mills, wife Bobby Mills, and his sister Sandra Aggeler (George) and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in the Shoshone Cemetery on July 2, 2021.
