Antonino Mora

February 18, 1949 — September 3, 2023

Antonino Mora "Tony," 74, passed away on September 3, 2023, at his home. He was born on February 18, 1949 in La Guadalupe, Jalisco, Mexico, to J. Jesus Mora and Maria de Jesus Larios. Tony grew up in La Guadalupe and later came to the United States in his twenties. Tony had seven brothers and three sisters.

He married Donna Pine, and had four children, Leticia, Angelina, Daniela, and T.J. They settled in Pocatello, Idaho.

Tony was a self-made businessman. He eventually owned his own landscaping business and served clients mainly in the Pocatello area for over 20 years. He was a dedicated and hard worker. Some of his clients commented about what a fast worker he was and were very pleased and appreciated the work he did for them.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was always ready and willing to serve anyone who needed his help.

He married Carmela R. Williams on October 30, 2004. They lived in Pocatello for a while and then made their permanent residence in the Tyhee area on the Fort Hall Reservation.

Tony loved fishing, hiking, watching and playing soccer, collecting rocks, going for a drive to the mountains and seeing deer south of Pocatello, gardening, taking care of his fruit trees and eating, (dad was a "foodie" before that was a thing).

He loved to laugh and smile and that is how we'll always remember him.

Tony is survived by his wife, Carmela R. Mora; and his children from his first marriage, daughter, Leticia Mora Birdbear (Caleb) of Bismarck, North Dakota, daughter, Angelina Mora of Bismarck, North Dakota, daughter, Daniela Mora Aki (Thearon) of Bismarck, North Dakota, son, Antonino Mora Jr. (Arna) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; nine grandchildren, Alexander Aki, Sebastian Aki, Arabella Aki, Angelina Aki, Tristan Aki, Gabriel Birdbear, all of Bismarck, North Dakota, Erika Mora, Antonino Mora III, and Bronson Mora, all of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; sisters, Carmen and Anna, brothers, Antonio and Juan of Jalisco, Mexico, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Mora (nee Pine), his parents, five brothers, a sister and two nephews.

A viewing will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 6-8 pm at the LDS Church Bldg., US Hwy 91 N. Pocatello, ID 83202.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11 am with a viewing one hour prior to the services also at the church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
