Ann Irene Mcgory

Ann Irene McGory, 89, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at a care center in Pocatello. She was born on January 8, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio and would have been 90 years old this Friday. We will celebrate her life by having a 90th birthday party on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 4-5 P.M. at Quail Ridge Assisted Living Center, 797 Hospital Way, Pocatello, Idaho 83201. Mother absorbed the sounds & sights of Mother Nature and of people's hearts. She stopped everything to listen as the geese flew overhead. A spider's dew-kissed web always took her breath away! Whenever ANYONE needed an ear - she'd stop and was attentive to every word & emotion. Without hesitation she reassured them that their choices were perfect for the situation at hand. She built a family & impressed upon us the importance of holding hands, cuddling & saying "I love you"! Her friends knew her intimately. A good GIGGLE is healing! Mother loved to share her own clowning around with others for a refreshing laugh! The LOVE she felt for Daddy, she described as "That first kiss shook me to my core!" which always left her with her most contented smile! Dog kisses and cat's purring - were reasons to "paws" in her book. Walks in the woods, strolls on the beach were the times she chose to guide, teach & reflect. We cherish these gifts God blessed her with as we celebrate her JOY in being home for her 90th birthday ~ able to DANCE to her HEART's content!
