Andrea Lin Duffin

POCATELLO - Andrea Lin Duffin returned to live with her Heavenly Father Thursday, November 27,2008 at the age of 51. Andrea was born October 25,1957 in American Falls, Idaho. She was the first born child of John & Myrna Feld Duffin.

Andrea was raised on a farm in Aberdeen until she was 14, when she moved to Pocatello to live with several very kind and loving families. She attended special education classes in Aberdeen and the Pocatello School district. She worked at New Day Products and Deseret Industries. After about 10 years Andrea returned to live in Aberdeen where she was closer to her family and friends. When her parents moved to Pocatello she also returned to Pocatello to be closer to them. Upon moving to Pocatello she reunited with a childhood classmate Roger Heer, whom she married on July 17th,1998. They were later divorced.

Andrea always knew she was a special spirit and had great faith in her Heavenly Father. She knew if she could just endure she would return to live with him and her beloved grandparents and others who have gone on before her. What great rejoicing when they meet again.

Andrea loved people. In spite of being developmentally challenged, she never forgot a face and was the most forgiving and loving person you would ever meet.

Andrea is survived by her parents, John & Myrna of Pocatello, Id. Her sister Shauna Elsberry (Terry) of Kaysville, UT, brother Byron (Shanda) of Shelley, ID, brother Eric (Melanie) of Pocatello, brother Kelly (Cindy) of Pocatello, ID and sister Ginger (Jeff) of Kaysville, UT , eighteen nieces and nephews and her best friend and dog Sugar. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Roland and Ella Duffin, numerous Aunts & Uncles all of whom she loved very much.

There have been so many people who have touched Andrea over her lifetime. She has had so many caregivers who have known her and shown great compassion. Though they are too numerous to mention her family would like to thank each and every one of them. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Lavonne Mills for her years of caring for Andrea and loving her as a friend. Pocatello Care and Rehab and Access Hospice for their tireless love and care shown to Andrea on her final days here on this earth.
