Amy White Earley

April 21, 1955 — January 4, 2021

Amy White Earley passed away peacefully in her sleep in Chubbuck, Idaho on January 4, 2021 due to complications from Alzheimer's. She was 65 years old.

Amy was born in Ogden, Utah on April 21, 1955 to parents LeRoy "Roy" and Doris White. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1973. In 1974, she married Darwin Ford. They were blessed with 2 daughters. They later divorced in 1989.

While working at Hill AFB, Amy met her future soulmate, Steve Earley, through a mutual friend. They were married on July 21, 1989, and with the addition of Steve's daughter, they became a loving, blended family with 3 beautiful daughters. When Steve was sent to Desert Storm in 1990, Amy was instrumental in keeping the family's small business open by taking over the job of selling bowling equipment and drilling bowling balls, all while continuing to work full time at the base.

Amy was an avid bowler and was a longtime member of the United States Bowling Congress. She participated in 24 Women's National Tournaments, and many other state and local events. She was also a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan. Her love of baseball led her and Steve to visit all 30 Major League parks across the country. She also enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, reading, and spending time camping and fishing at her family's property in Ogden canyon.

Amy is remembered and loved by her sister Carol Walling and her husband Jerry of Ogden, Utah, her sister Patricia Cope of Mesa, Arizona, her loving husband Steve of Chubbuck, Idaho, her daughters Laura Hale of Chubbuck, Idaho, Jill Renz and her husband Curtis of Meridianville, AL, Teka Escaravage and her husband Scot of Spring Hill, FL; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many friends and relatives.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents; her brother-in-law Richard "Dick" Cope; and other aunts and uncles.

Her survivors would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Chubbuck, especially the memory care facility for the compassionate care during her brief stay. Also, thanks to all the Encompass Hospice Care staff who helped her during her final days.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor in the summer of 2021. Details are pending.
