Amy Carmel Bullock

Amy passed away on October 1, 2023, from a long, courageous battle of breast cancer. Amy was born November 10, 1966, to Darrell and Jackie Bullock, who raised her, along with her step-dad Richard, with her older sister Gina and younger sister Mandi. She graduated from Highland High School and then went to cosmetology school. She then graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education.

Amy married Donald Jacobsen on July 25, 1987, in Pocatello, Idaho. They had three children, Amber Kae, Dakota Darrell, and SaDee Mae. They later divorced.

Amy began her teaching career at Downey Elementary School. She then transferred to Greenacres in Pocatello, until she had to retire due to her cancer.

Amy was blessed with her first granddaughter in 2016, BrynLee Mae Jackson, and then BreckLyn Kae Jackson in 2019.

Amber and SaDee want to give a special thank you to Tracy, Kris, Rachel, Misty, and the PCU nurse Sydney, as well as all the doctors and nurses at the cancer center, who took amazing care of her.

She is survived by her daughters Amber (Keith) Jackson, and SaDee Jacobsen (Holden), granddaughters BrynLee and BreckLyn, sisters Gina McConnell and Mandi (John) Everett, and nephews David, Tucker (Alyssa), Tanner (Emily), Damian and niece Nikki.

She was preceded in death by her son Dakota, Mom Jackie, Dad Darrell, Step-dad Richard, and paternal and maternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, Idaho. Amy's family will receive friends and others at a viewing to take place on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilks Funeral Home, as well as for one hour prior to the services on Friday. Interment will follow the funeral services and will take place at Norton Cemetery in McCammon.
