Amelia O Miranda

Amelia O Miranda, 70, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away September 9, 2012 in Pocatello, ID. Amelia was born September 17, 1941 in Fort Hall, Idaho. She attended Tyhee Elementary, Alameda High and was a proud student of Pocatello High School and Chilacco High School in Oklahoma. She then attended Idaho State University for a brief period in the nursing program. She spent most of her life here, in Pocatello and Fort Hall being a loving mother, grandmother and wife.

She married the love of her life at age 20, Cuberto G. Miranda, on November 16, 1961.

Amelia loved to read. She also enjoyed gambling, sewing, dancing, fishing, camping and traveling. She was also a collector of coins, cookie jars, carnival glass and salt and pepper shakers.

She was a member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe and Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Miranda, Pocatello, brother, Jose Oresco, Fort Hall, sisters: Carmelita Oresco Williams, Pocatello, Esperanza (Johnny) Miranda, Chubbuck, son, Paul Miranda, Kimberly, Idaho, daughter, Elena Miranda, Pocatello, granddaughter, Alesha (Dustin) Nicholas, Pocatello, grandsons: Erick and Anthony Estrada, Pocatello, and 3 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren: Dylan Guthrie, Noah Spradling and Contessa Nicholas.

Amelia was preceded in death by Pearl Edmo Oresco and Jesus Oresco.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2012, at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, Idaho. Family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 and one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
