Alvin D. Burke

Alvin D Burke passed away quietly on Sunday November 27, 2016 at the age of 95.
He is preceded in death by his mother Lulu Burke and his wife and mother of his 2 sons Ruth Burke.

He grew up in Colorado Springs, CO. After graduating High School, he worked for the phone company which in turn brought him to Salt Lake City, UT. He soon began working for the Royal Baking Company, where he met his first wife and mother of his two children. He left Royal Baking Company and worked for 40+ years at Wonder Bread Baking Company, retiring in 1983. He met his present wife Billie and moved to Pocatello, ID, where he lived happily for the last 15 years.

Al is survived by his wife Billie, his sons Bill (Charlene) Burke of Kearns, UT and Doug (Sandi) Burke of Tustin, CA, stepdaughters Chastie Willes Missoula, MT, Katie McNabb and Kristie (Justin) Vitale Pocatello, ID, grandsons Stephen Burke, Gary Burke, Dennis Burke, and Douglas Burke Jr., granddaughters Angie (Brandon) Draper and Lyndsy Clark, 7 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to a charity of your choice.

A memorial service will be held Saturday Dec 3rd, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Holliday-Cottonwood Mortuary 4670 South Highland DR Holliday, UT 84117. He will be entombed at Holliday Memorial Park 4900 South Memory Lane Holliday, UT 84117.
