Alice Williams

Alice Williams, 88, of Pocatello, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at a local hospital and entered into the loving arms of her husband Ally. She was born on December 26, 1920, to Erick and Franey Gabrielson in Pocatello. She was the oldest of five children and was the last surviving member of the family. She grew up in the Tyhee area and had to quit school after the eight grade to begin work to help support her family. Alice met Allison Williams on a blind date and a few years later they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 14, 1940. Together they raised eight children and lived in Blackrock. They had five girls and three boys: Rosalie, Jenny, Ramona, John, Melinda, Dean, LaMar, and Alice. They moved to Inkom in 1972 and lived there until moving to Pocatello in 1993. Alice was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed participating in Relief Society and fulfilling her callings as a teacher and visiting teacher. She was the world
