Alan Rodney Gunderson

Alan Rodney Gunderson, 64, passed away on January 28, 2024.

He was born on August 23, 1959, to Gary and Florence in Burley, Idaho. He was raised in Pocatello and attended school in American Falls.

Alan became a construction worker and lived in Reno, Texas, and Sun Valley. He was a framer, building resorts as well as residential homes. He had no fear of heights.

He married Carol Smith and to that union was born a daughter Nicole. They later divorced.

Alan was known by his friends as Shade. He loved fishing, motorcycles, and knives. He always had a standard poodle by his side, Diego being his last companion of seven years.

He is survived by his mother, Florence Gunderson of Pocatello, ID and sisters, Wendy Farnsworth of Jackson, WY and Kellie Gubler of Bullhead, AZ.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Enhabit Hospice for their caring and compassionate support of Alan.

A celebration of Alan's life will be held at a later date.
